FINAL JUDGING RESULTS 2006


Final Results: September 1st, 2006

The Action/Cut Short Film Competition industry Jury Committees are
composed of working professionals within the motion picture world in
Los Angeles including directors, producers, writers, agents, and film
company executives.

The five judging parameters are focused on:
- Subject Originality 
- Content Realization 
- Visual Storytelling 
- Production Values
- Viewing Engagement of Work


The film industry association at Action/Cut is what separates this
competition from all others, and why we pride ourselves by offering
invaluable services inclusive of the prize awards to provide Hollywood
access with professional contacts and feedback, and to open career 
advisory doors to the winners. 


The Juries have added additional Awards of Special Merit in Filmmaking not previously announced and
they are listed below the Main Awards.  They include Special Jury Awards, Best Foreign Awards, and
Most Promising Young Filmmakers Awards (18 & under) in categories where they apply.


All winning entry materials will be retained by Action/Cut and made available for private showings to industry players, production companies, agents, and distributors.

Synopsis: An inmate on death row is offered the chance to win his pardon by appearing on a new reality show
where call-in viewers will decide his fate...and possible first real-life execution on live TV.  
How far will the worldwide popularity of reality television and call-in participation go?  
A parody on the fascination of our power of influence on the lives of others and our disturbing thirst for sheer sensationalism.

soldier plants land mines while an enemy pursues him.  When their paths collide, who will be left standing?

time to give back to the African people by helping to build health centers and stamp out the life-threatening disease - malaria.
